Travel To Singapore – The Strict Entry Requirements To The Casinos

With the launch of the two integrated resorts in Singapore, this has opened up a flood gate of tourists visiting this wonderful city-state. In Singapore context, what is known as the integrated resorts is another meaning for a resort and casino complex.

The two resorts that have successfully obtained the licenses required to run a casino in Singapore are the Marina Bay Sands Resorts and Casino, run by the Sands Company which is headquartered in the United States, and Resorts World, run by Genting Group which is headquartered in Malaysia. Regardless of which integrated resort you visit, if you intend to visit the casino, you must abide to the strict rules in place. Here is a quick guide to the entry requirements to the casinos in Singapore.

Age Requirement

The minimum age requirement to enter the casino is 21 years of age. Anyone below that age is not allowed to enter.

Documents Requirement

For all visitors who are neither Singapore citizens nor holding any permanent residence status in Singapore, the only requirement is to bring their passports as a form of identification to prove that they are purely tourists from overseas and that they meet the minimum age requirements to enter the gambling areas. There is no levy fee for these types of visitors. If you qualify as this type of visitor, then you can simply line up in the foreign visitor’s lane while entering the gaming areas.

For visitors who are Singapore citizens or holding permanent residence status, they must present either their passports or national identification card, and also pay the mandatory 100S$ (Singapore dollar) levy fee. Please note that the levy fee only allows you to enter the casino for 24 hours from the time and date you paid the fee. After the 24 hours is up, then your current levy will expire and should you wish to stay longer, then you will need to pay the levy fee a second time in order to enter the casino for another 24 hours. To enter the gambling center as a Singaporean or permanent resident, you will need to line up in the lanes designated as “Singaporean citizen/ PR holder” to enter the gaming area.

Dress Code

For both integrated resorts at Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World, the dress code to enter the gaming areas is smart casual. Shorts, singlets, and “flip flop” slippers are not permitted. The security guard will check to ensure you meet the dress code before allowing you to enter.

By taking note of these entry requirements to the casinos of both integrated resorts in Singapore, it will help to ensure that you can enter the casinos as smoothly as possible.

Teenage Gambling At Post Prom High School Party

The latest trend to hit high schools is supervised teenage gambling at the Post Prom School Party. Over the past few months I have received numerous emails from parents, students and school faculty expressing concern about the new alternative entertainment. In all cases these people believe it would do more harm then good.

The concept became reality for students once the Post Prom Committee voted to accept this new alternative entertainment.

This Post Prom Committee believes this is safe night party for the High School prom. The students who are taking part are between the ages of sixteen and eighteen years old. Each student is able to purchase fake money to gamble with and at the end of the night they can trade this money in for prizes with at the end of the night. Some parents believe this is a safe wonderful event for their children. While others believe this is one area they prefer their kids not be involved with.

One of the emails I received was from a family who home schools their five children. I was surprised since their kids were not involved. She had explained to me that her daughter who is seventeen has friends who attend the public school system. She went on to tell me the negative behavior exhibited by these teens after the event took place. In fact they taught her daughter how to play black jack and poker. This is a good neighborhood that has strong community ties. She also informed me that she not see the difference between using fake money or real money when you still have a chance to win a prize that has value. She believes these teens are being educated on how to gamble, win and take the easy way out.

People in favor of this gambling event, nicely told those who were against it to have their teenager’s stay home. It was my understanding the post prom parties were supposed to be for everyone.

It surprised me that a school district finds gambling night an acceptable behavior for our teenagers.

I have seen first hand the self destruction gambling can do to teenagers and adults. It’s my belief that gambling should be limited to people who are eighteen and over.

Another email was asking me for the specific statistics on the negative impact on a teenager’s who attend a gambling event. General statistics reflect a percentage of those in attendance will develop a compulsive gambling addiction. Some of these same students may become addicted at some point in their life. I have found that addictions to gambling are not age sensitive. People of any age who are gambling for the very first time can develop a gambling addiction. Usually a friend or family member takes them to the gambling establishment. I first found it difficult to understand how a person who is sixty five retired and on a fixed income gets addicted to gambling. The seniors I spoke with were very upset and didn’t understand how this happened to them. The unfortunate part is they lost their pensions and now only have their Social Security to live on. In one case the Grandmother has to move in with her daughter.

There is very little difference between supervised gambling and allowing supervised drinking alcoholic beverages or serving the students there choice of dugs on a silver platter. If a Principal served a student an alcoholic drink he would be arrested. I am trying to understand how school educators and parents can distinguish between alcohol and gambling on school property. How is one more acceptable then the other?

Studies have shown that there is a correlation between alcohol addiction and gambling addiction. The correlation was based on individuals who attend both Gamblers Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

It would be a shame to find out ten years from now that students who took part in supervised gambling at the High School level their future was compromised by a life of self destruction and low self esteem.

It’s a proven statistics that students who gamble get a similar rush as if they just had an alcoholic beverage. The only difference here they will not wake up with a hang over and the side effects are minimal until it’s too late.

We have now given our students another option in life. The major concern is the student’s will probably like the rush from gambling a lot more then alcohol and or drugs since there is no hang over or smell. Some students are likely to continue gambling. Students with A grades are not exempt from this. Statistics show that compulsive teenage gamblers are also very bright and articulate individuals.

People need to be educated on teenage gambling and its long term affects. It’s illegal to gamble if you are under 18. It’s also illegal to drink if you are under 18 (some places 21) and it’s illegal to smoke cigarettes if you are under 18. These laws were set for a reason. Another email I received wanted to know do these school systems have any respect for the Law?

I emailed each of the people and asked why haven’t they raised their concerns to the school board? They all responded the same. “We are the minority and now we look bad in front of our kids.” This is truly a no win situation.

The parents who are against this sort of entertainment believe; if just one student develops a compulsive gambling addiction that is one too many.

Remember, even 85% of nothing is still 0.

So the destination here, is not just to come across the casino to handle your gambling on the web that is great in a single area, but it’s to find the one that is the most harmonious. Maybe they aren’t really exceptional in any one area, a well-rounded gambling casino that provides a wide-spread good time is usually perfect.

The best place to get info about a particular gambling casino (or simply which casino is the most advisable choice) is from the other people who have been there.

Craps Gambling Secrets Revealed – 7 Tips For Success

Craps gambling is without a doubt one of the most exciting and very popular forms of gambling in the casinos. Unfortunately, craps gambling can also be the most intimidating, unforgiving, and complicated form of gambling in the casino. Want to know how you can avoid the dark side of craps gambling?

Great! Continue reading to find seven tips you need to know – tips that will help uncover some little known secrets about craps – and how you can learn to have success at the craps table.

Craps, depending on the source you trust, is estimated to have as many as 30 million American participants annually. Why are so many people interested in this fast-paced form of casino gambling?

To begin with … the thrill of victory cannot be overlooked when it comes to winning. Having many opportunities (due to the multiple betting options available in craps gambling) to win, makes for a tremendous amount of excitement.

This is confirmed by the fact that you can easily identify the craps gambling area in a casino. How? Simply go to the area where you see a large crowd of people cheering and screaming. That is the popular side … but what about the other side of craps gambling?

Craps gambling requires betting on one or more possible number combinations from the rolling of two dice. Here are seven tips you must know in order to successfully navigate through this challenge:

1. The fact is that consistently predicting the outcome of the roll of two dice at will is impossible. Don't be fooled by those few moments at the height of excitement that players yell out numbers and the dice miraculously obey. Those moments are the exception and not even remotely the rule. Do you know any professional golfers that hit a hole-in-one at least once every 18 holes?

2. The rules of craps and the odds, which are set by the casinos, guarantee that the casino will earn a small percentage of every bet at the craps table. So, if you thought beating the casino at craps was your mission, let it go. Whether you win or lose, the casino still wins. Knowing this fact will help you focus on your true mission.

3. Craps gambling offers you the option to bet for or bet against the shooter rolling a specific number or outcome; However, you also have the option to bet for and against the shooter simultaneously. How's that for confusion? Here's the tip – just because you have the option to make a specific bet or bets, don't ever make a bet just because a table employee suggests the bet. Remember tip number 2.

4. Never step up to a craps gambling table without a pre-determined playing bankroll. In other words, decide in advance how much money you will bet with and never bet a penny more.

5. The reality of craps gambling is that everyone will win at some point and everyone will lose at some point. Yes, no matter how much you think you suck, you will win one or more bets. That is how the game is designed. Why? The money bet at craps is distributed between the players, with the casino taking a small percentage from the winners and losers. That is the big picture, never lose sight of it.

6. Decide in advance how much you are willing to lose for the day at craps. Should you reach that limit … Stop! End of discussion.

7. Since you are guaranteed by the rules and the odds that you will win some bets and lose some bets, make sure you win more money when winning than you lose when losing. Without a sound money management plan losing will be a given. You can do this by following tip number 6, but also setting a realistic winning goal. Once you reach your winning goal … Stop!

By understanding the secrets within the seven tips above and following those tips, you will separate yourself from better than 98% of craps gambling players and thus increase your odds of success at craps gambling.
